It is always interesting to see various ways that our brides make their weddings unique.  Sometimes this is decorating, sometimes it is their unusual sign in choices, sometimes it their timeline approach, etc....so let me share a few of them.  This post will highlight the various ways brides choose to handle their Sign-In method. In the good ole days - the only choice for a sign-in was a plain-Jane book to list guests name and their address.  It is always exciting to see the fresh and unique ideas that come to our current weddings. We saw signing of your name on a wooden heart that was then dropped into a glassed frame.  Also a sign in of a family Bible where guests highlight their favorite Bible verse and sign their names in the margins.

A wedding ceremony has a few essentials; a bride and groom, a preacher or officiant to conduct the ceremony, vows of some sort stating their promises, sharing of rings, a kiss to seal the deal, and a pronouncement of the new union.  Cut and dry - that is all that it has to be.........and some actually want it as short and sweet as possible.....but some go to great lengths to make it more unique and more special.  Let me share some of the interesting ceremony "rituals" that we saw this year.

Every year we review every photo that has been shared with us by our brides and talented photographers.  It is always an enjoyable yet pain-staking project to narrow down our very best photos - looking for those that have that extra "it-factor" that makes it stand out amongst the rest.  Sometimes it is the pose, the location, the lighting effect, but each photo looks like you could easily be flipping through a famous bride magazine and see it.  Kudos to all of the photographers whose talent shined above the rest. These four photos are our most favorites.  We would actually have a hard time picking a best of best out of these.....they all are extra special in various ways.  This first one is of Devin and Justin by Katie Britt Photography who ventured down to the creek and bravely found her way into the middle of it on a ledge of rocks.  All things come together to make this special beyond the location - the leaves, the lighting, and the gentle pose that Devin is in.
