The full lineup has been released to our social media pages (Instagram and Facebook). Our first batch was in no specific order but our top three are indeed in order, as difficult as that alone was to accomplish. What a challenge we had this year with the submission of so many amazing photos. Alas, our task was made so let me roll out those top three here on this blog along with a bit of commentary of some of their attributes.

This photo certainly gets “unique” points partly just for its location. Have you ever seen a bride and groom at another venue with such interesting tidbits in the backdrop? Our tree tunnel is often a favorite spot but most of the time, the angle is in the opposite direction. This backdrop angle shows so much of our farm vibe; the page style fence along the side, the goats in the pasture, and some lingering vintage fence-posts from a bygone era where our barn area was a paddock not a photographic area. The greenery and abundance of foliage and even tree limbs allow the backlighting effects to add to this pic. Front and center is the bride and groom. Halle’s long locks and vintage style bridal gown adds to it all too. Her bouquet, of course created by Jill here at HPF blends well with the surrounding colors. The sweet natural snuggle is icing on the cake.

We are a flower farm with such a variety of blooms from spring through summer and fall. Most of our brides hire us to handle reception and wedding florals, etc. but fortunately for our guests and our couples, there is an added benefit in that our gardens give us all such amazing eye-candy. They also make for some stunning photography backdrops as well. Our of our top photos of 2024, three of them are flower garden photos. In the past years, the same trend happened too. The photographer, Ali McGary, had a second picture of Emmy in the Best of 2024 line-up which is a compliment to them both. This photo stands out for many reasons too; the bride and groom got “inside” the garden rows which allows more exposure of a broader variety of florals, textures, and colors, the lighting effect hits some of the flowers in the background without glaring the faces of the bride and groom, and the positioning of the bride and groom is great as well.

Adventures with the lamberts
Can’t you easily imagine flipping through a Bridal Magazine and seeing this photo as an advertisement for anything from a Bridal Salon to perfume to deodorant to life insurance? Our greenhouse is a master at providing amazing ambiance. The cozy area just looks like the bride and groom have found a private space for some passionate kissing during a busy and often chaotic day. The cute background in the greenhouse adds unique interests with the chandelier, bird cage, and hanging dried flowers – all adorable! All things aid on staging, the bride and groom make it very believable that this kiss was all that and more – very steamy and passionate, I think we can all agree. Kristina’s off-the-shoulder and long flowing lacy train also is a big plus to this photo. The photographer even got the bouquet positioned into the shot as well. Many awesome attributes that all need to come together did so in this photo and a huge kudos to the photographer. It was their first time here on the farm and they got two pictures in our Best of 2024 list which also shows their talent and creativity and that is what this list is designed to salute; our amazing photographers.
