Ty and Jenny – by In His Images Photography

Ty was a college roommate of my son-in-law, John  (Jill’s husband).  Though Ty had some family roots in this region, he had spent more of his time since college out west. His fiance, Jenny, isn’t from this area, but they really wanted to come back to the South for their wedding.  We were honored to help host this special day for them.

Jenny was one of those brides who had a few specific ideas about her day but she put her trust into her various vendors and let them handle their jobs.  HP Farms handled her decorating and it was obvious from her few pinterest pictures that she had a Bohemian  influence to her vision and we were excited to try some new things.  Bohemian is mis-match and vintage but with lots of colors – no quilts, no burlap.  Lace, fringe, wildflowers, mis-matched chairs, old furniture pieces, gypsy trunk, Bohemian tent, old guitars and old luggage, mis-match china, old colored goblets and mercury glass of all colors – get the idea?  Her flower choices had a wildflower hint to them but the peonies that were added were nothing short of stunning….great thanks to Dancing Farms in Chickamauga for the beautiful fresh flowers.

It was fun to think outside the box on this wedding and to try new things.  Of course, Bohemian also means a very hippie inspired wedding dress – no foo-foo or fluff.  Jenny was spot on with her dress choice and she was stunning in it. Ty’s suit had a vintage look to it as well so they really did fit the look to a tee.

Their wedding was in the grove.  My old blue mason jars full of flowers hung on the edges of the chairs instead of on crooks – a beautiful and unique look.  Jenny’s flower girls were cute as a button.  The grove was full of family and friends from all of the country.

With grand food for her reception, cornhole to play, jenga pieces as her sign in, goats to feed, gardens to explore, tasty desserts to share, smores to cook, dancing in the dance hall, friends sharing stories about the blessed couple, and a sparkler send off – it made for a laid back memorable evening for all.

In His Images Photography did an amazing job capturing some portrait photos around the farm.  Let me share a few of my favorites.  Notice the red clover bed where Jenny’s dog seems to give her approval to Ty – so darn cute!

They weren’t quite family before the wedding but they sure felt like family afterwards.  We are forever connected through this special day and the relationships that were enriched too.  We were so impressed with their photographer, In His Images, and we thank them for being so generous with sharing their photos.                                                                                                              ~ Margie
