Outdoor Wedding Options
Wedding ceremonies are on the north side of the barn which is a great asset considering that for our late afternoon/early evening weddings mean that your guests will arrive in the shade and the ceremonies will be in the shade. Plus – the views from this side of the barn are amazing to say the least.
The Rustic Arbor
Vine ridden old cedar log arbor sitting between two groupings of River Birch trees alongside the pasture fence with horses and goats grazing seems like a very tranquil place for a ceremony. Dress up or down or leave natural, choices still are available. Coming out of those large tin barn doors sure do make for a grand entrance.
The grove has more of an intimate feel and somehow feels very symbolic for a wedding ceremony with the circle of mature trees surrounding you. Whether facing towards our mature pecan tree or aiming towards the pastures as the tree limbs create a natural arbor of sorts – being under the canopy of the trees strung with cafe lights just feels magical.
Inside the Barn
Though most of our weddings are outside with the receptions inside, we often have brides who do the opposite. Having the barn wedding under the wagon wheel chandelier has that classic “barn wedding look” and then you are able to utilize the outside areas for your reception. Having the barn as a back up for your rain scenario makes a more beautiful look than a tent option.
The farm has some amazing views as we benefit from the presence of the highest peak of Lookout Mountain to our west, pastures full of animals to our north, our lowland creek, our fields often touting wildflowers and haybales, the knoll that overlooks the farm and peers down at the valleys south of us, gardens bursting with veggies and beds full of flowers, and secret tree tunnels and shady nooks waiting for a talented photographer in search of a photo op. No wonder many brides are drawn to our venue purely from a photographic opportunity advantage. The backdrops are endless and they can so easily help to create a magazine worthy photo as you can see from the display below. Just look at all of the unique “extra views” beyond just our barn.
