Outdoor Wedding Options

As you stroll around the farm, you will find several choices and angles of where you want your ceremony to be held.

Behind the Barn  – The Lawn

Views of the pasture and animals  ~  Grand exit out of the barn with the large tin doors and white curtains  ~  A gorgeous view of the valley.

Angle towards the pasture or towards the valley – we allow you to decide.  This area is all north of our barn which means for an late afternoon or evening wedding, your guests will arrive in the comfort of shade and sit outside for the ceremony in shade as well.  This area puts you front and center to view the animals and the gorgeous landscape beyond plus you are right there at the barn making your transition from arrival to ceremony to reception – a breeze.

The Grove

The grove has more of an intimate feel and somehow feels very symbolic for a wedding ceremony with the circle of mature trees surrounding you.  Under the lit foliage with the sunlight peeping through the natural canopy of the tree leaves, it makes for a magical area.  Some are looking towards the pasture – some look towards the large pecan tree – where some center themselves under the hanging limbs.  It is so pleasant to sit under the shade of the trees with a slight breeze coming up through the leaves for a summer wedding.

Or Wedding Inside the Barn – Reception Out

Though most of our weddings are outside with the receptions inside, we often have brides who do the opposite.  Having the barn wedding under the wagon wheel chandelier has that classic “barn wedding look” and then you are able to utilize the outside areas for your reception.  Setting out your beautiful tables with their decor under the trees or out on the lawn can allow your guests to enjoy the views while they eat.  Having the barn as a back up for your rain scenario makes a more beautiful look than a tent option.

Surrounding Views

The farm has some amazing views as we benefit from the presence of the highest peak of Lookout Mountain to our west, pastures full of animals to our north, our lowland creek, our fields often touting wildflowers and haybales, the knoll that overlooks the farm and peers down at the valleys south of us, gardens bursting with veggies and beds full of flowers, and secret tree tunnels and shady nooks waiting for a talented photographer in search of a photo op.  No wonder many brides are drawn to our venue purely from a photographic opportunity advantage.  The backdrops are endless and they can so easily help to create a magazine worthy photo as you can see from the display below.  Just look at all of the unique “extra views” beyond just our barn.
