With two years under our belt, we have seen first hand some great vendors. Whether it is a DJ or a caterer or a photographer.....we get positive feedback from our brides as well as assess them ourselves. I have a good list of caterers from all sorts of price ranges - and I have no problem sharing my preferred list with you too. Barbecue is a favorite here - it just seems to fit. We often have some "out of the box" vendors too which is just fun. We have had a frozen custard vendor, a hot dog vendor, and even a "just made" donut vendor. Because we are a unique venue - it just gives you the freedom to have whatever food you want. We have very limited - actually "primitive" facilities for your vendor - so you need a caterer who is use to coming prepared for an outdoor setting. But...no fear....it is done each and every weekend - some a bit more elaborate than others - some who know how to cook down home Southern cookin'....
DJ's - we have seen a bunch of them. No two are alike but they are not all the same. Check out our best ones and we even have a few ideas for bands...we have had some talented bands too - if you can afford it - it sure is a lot of fun and it just fits in so well!
We have witnessed first hand some amazing wedding cakes - decorated to the hilt - and worthy of winning a prize. If you are a summer time bride or warm weather bride....be sure to tell your cake vendor that you are having an outdoor wedding and the cake will be displayed in a barn - some of the icing choices don't work so well in warm weather. We even see some simpler cakes but even they look cute when set on one of the large log slices. We do see some cute cupcake displays too....and my favorite is the dessert smorgasbord with a large array of delectable treats of all shapes and sizes - all decked out on vintage cake plates and shabby chic glassware and such.
And our wonderful photographers! We have been perpetually floored by the talent of so many wonderful photographers who have come her and captured amazing shots for our brides and for us. Not all photographers know light...and this is a key to finding a suitable photographer for such a place as High Point Farms. Whether deal with the sun over head....the shadows from the trees and barn.....shoot inside the barn....or shooting at night....the proof is in the pudding so check out your photographers carefully.
